All paramedic students who wish to achieve NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) National EMS Certification at the Paramedic level must complete their education and training at an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), through its Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (COAEMSP), or one that has at least initiated the process to obtain such accreditation, by having a Letter of Review. Only students currently enrolled in paramedic programs that have started prior to January 1, 2013 are exempt from this requirement.
Pro EMS Center for MEDICS was the first Massachusetts institution to achieve this accreditation, and we continue to maintain that accreditation. This achievement signifies the exceptional quality of our paramedic program, as well as our continuing education courses, and therefore, the quality and competency of our graduates.
